Meet the Candidates

Michael J. Power

For Executive Secretary Treasury Local 157

Executive Secretary Treasurer (Local 157). Third-generation union carpenter; civil service carpenter since 2019; OSHA/First Aid & CPR instructor; fought wage fraud; committed to restoring trust and transparency. Vision: together we reclaim the power and respect we deserve.

Peter Corrigan

For President Local 212

Local 212. Third-generation union carpenter; CW POST; Pace Construction Mgmt cert; organizer and business agent; 11 years as NYCDCC delegate; NYC DOB committee service; proud husband and father.

Anthony Vincent

For Vice President Local 2287

Local 2287. 26-year, 2nd-generation floor coverer; Local 2287 financial secretary; trustee, delegate & convention delegate; apprentice to steward and foreman; relentless advocate for members on and off the jobsite.

The Non-Union Crisis

NYC union market share is only 27%. We can’t be a union that only does infrastructure—we must fight for every job in this city. Key projects across the city have gone non-union; we must take back our work.

Elections Have Consequences

If Paul wins, we all lose: loss of crafts from NYCDCC, threat to retiree medical benefits, continued non-union job growth, shrinking membership, loss of independence. Don’t let our union be sold out.

Membership Trend

“9,000 members lost under Paul Capurso’s leadership.”

Our Path Forward

Our Plan to Make New York City Union Again

●     Rebuild relationships with REBNY

●     Rework 485x

●     Put organizers back on the streets (not handing out turkeys)

●     Dedicated organizers for every trade (Dock Builders, Timbermen, Floorcoverers, Millwrights, Cabinet Makers, etc.)

●     Every rep will also be an organizer.

●     Presence in every borough

●     One point person per borough — accountable to the organizing director
